I’m SK, the brain behind Beauty Jumpstart. My obsession with skincare and DIY beauty began after three major life shifts:
- I lost a significant amount of weight with GLPs and suddenly found my skin sagging, dull, and aging faster than I could believe.
- I hit perimenopause, then menopause, and discovered my old, simple routines no longer worked.
- And after leaving my job, I needed a new hobby… skincare became my new rabbit hole.
I needed an attack plan to fix my aging skin. Like so many of us do, I started with professional help. After spending a small fortune at med spas, I started digging into why certain treatments worked for me and others didn’t. I looked for ways to spend less but get better results. I discovered a whole community of people doing it themselves and a new passion was born.
Now that I am experienced, I spend far too much time in DIY beauty groups answering questions. I decided to make life easier by gathering answers in one place. And here we are.
